Misgav Venture Accelerator Newsletter June 2007
If you didn't receive our card announcing our new name, or you didn't see our new booth at BioMed, then we are happy to announce our new name, Misgav Venture Accelerator. The name change came about as part of an overall rebranding effort. Working with a Trendlines marketing communications consultant and Studio Oz, we thought and discussed at length about what it is we really do. It's true we are a "technology center." But we offer our portfolio companies and the passionate entrepreneurs that work with them much more than just a physical location. Although technology is important, the core of what we do is to take great ideas and build them into greater companies. Read the full rebranding story.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish much success to our VP Business Development Ishay Attar, who is "retiring" from the incubator as of July 1 in order to start his own medical device start-up, LifeBond Ltd. I am sure we will be hearing a lot about the success of this exciting young company in the coming months and years. Ishay has worked with the Misgav Venture Accelerator for four years and has done an outstanding job in recruiting the very finest young companies. And although he will be a tough act to follow, we have every confidence that Lior Yankelson, who is replacing Ishay in this important position, will continue the tradition of discovering the best new ideas in the medical arena. Good luck to them both in their new positions.
Steve Rhodes, CEO Misgav Venture Accelerator
