Evaluation and Investment
Our six-stage evaluation process is geared to move prospective entrepreneurs as quickly - yet as thoroughly - as possible from first contact through investment decision. The evaluation procedure takes between two and four months, followed by approximately two months for the Office of the Chief Scientist's review.
Stage 1: Initial Proposal
The entrepreneur contacts Omer Schalit Cohen, the Misgav Venture Accelerator's VP of Business Development, to present at least one of the following:
1-Minute Elevator Pitch
Initial Project Proposal
Executive summary in Hebrew or English
Stage 2: Initial Observation
Within two weeks of receiving the proposal, Misgav's management reviews the application and responds (usually by phone). If a follow-up meeting is required, it is scheduled promptly.
Stage 3: In-depth Due Diligence
Misgav management accompanies the entrepreneur to a consultation session with the incubator's advisory board, Trendlines consultants, and leading professionals in the field.
Stage 4: Investment Committee
The entrepreneur presents the project to the Misgav Investment Committee, which makes a decision with Misgav's management.
Stage 5: OCS Examiner Review
The project is reviewed by an examiner from the Office of the Chief Scientist, Israel Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor.
Stage 6: OCS Incubator Committee
During this stage, the project is presented to the OCS Incubator Committee. This Committee makes its decision based on Misgav's presentation and the examiner's opinion and report. After completing this procedure, the new company begins operating within the framework of the Misgav Innovation Accelerator.
